Dear Parents/Guardians,

I just wanted to remind everyone that next Thursday (April 5th) is an early closure day. We will be dismissing students at 12:30 pm on that day which is also the beginning of the Easter long weekend. I will be contacting parents individually if I feel there is a need for us to meet.

At this time it is still unclear if we will be sending out second term report cards, however I will be sending home an informal report on your child's progress to date. This will be sent home in the next couple of weeks. I apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Thursday March 8, 2012

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I want to start off by thanking everyone for their continued patience during this time of teacher job action. I know this week has been very disruptive for many of you and your support is greatly appreciated. Due to the short week, we will not be doing spelling this week.

I will be teaching new sight words tomorrow. They are as follows:

Grade 1: swim, run, fly, what

Grade 2: star, whale, shark

Due to the uncertainty of future job action at this time, I have decided to double up some of the special helper days. In other words, if your child missed his/her special helper day due to missed school, he/she will still get to showcase his/her show and tell item to the class and will share the responsibilities with another member of the class. I hope this make sense.

Have a fantastic evening!

Friday March 2, 2012

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Just wanted to let you know that Mr. Rempel sent an important notice home today regarding teacher job action. As a result teachers will not be at school on Monday March 5th. Please check your child's agenda for the notice which is explained in more detail. At this time it is unknown when teachers will return so please take the time to keep reading with your child at home as well as practice the Math facts sheet. Thank you for your cooperation and have an excellent weekend.
