The word family taught today was the -ide family. We brainstormed words such as ride, slide, tide, outside, beside, hide, decide, etc.. Please practice these words with your child this week.

This week we will be reviewing all sight words taught to date. Your child will come home with a practice book this week.

Tuesdays and Fridays are PE days and we will be starting gymnastics this week. Students will be in bare feet, but please ensure that he/she is wearing proper/comfortable clothing on these days. Thank you for your cooperation.

Don't forget to do your home reading every night. It is encouraged to take the same book home several nights in a row to practice fluency, especially at the higher levels. Please also ensure that your child brings his/her home reading book back to school everyday.

Please practice basic math facts on a regular basis.
