We had a wonderful first week with our fantastic teacher candidates Mr. Hallett and Miss Waters.

Our Library book exchange day is usually on Mondays but since we've missed the last two Mondays of school, I have signed us up for a quick book exchange tomorrow. We will still have our regular Library time on Monday, April 23rd.

Don't forget to do your home reading every night. It is encouraged to take the same book home several nights in a row to practice fluency, especially at the higher levels. Please also ensure that your child brings his/her home reading book back to school everyday.

Please practice basic math facts on a regular basis.

A Senor Froggy order form went home today. The orders are due back on Friday, April 13 by noon. Senor Froggy lunch will be on Friday, April 27th.

Just a reminder that next Monday (April 16th) is a professional development day for teachers and it is a non-instructional day for students.

Don't forget to do your home reading every night. It is encouraged to take the same book home several nights in a row to practice fluency, especially at the higher levels. Please also ensure that your child brings his/her home reading book back to school everyday.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Just a few reminders:
  • Tomorrow dismissal is at 12:30 pm. I have contacted the families I would like to meet with in the afternoon.
  • Please welcome Miss Waters and Mr. Hallett (TRU teacher candidates) to our classroom as tomorrow is their first day. They will be with us for 2 weeks and we are very excited to welcome them into our class!
  • Monday, April 16th is a professional development day for teachers. There is no school for students on that day.
  • There is no school on Friday and Monday. Have a FANTASTIC Easter Weekend!!!

I sent home a revised Special Helper list for the month of April today. My apologies but on the original list I sent home I did not account for the Easter long weekend.

A reminder that this Thursday is a half day. Students will be dismissed for the day at 12:30pm.

Tuesdays and Fridays are PE days and we will be starting gymnastics this week. Students will be in bare feet, but please ensure that he/she is wearing proper/comfortable clothing on these days. Thank you for your cooperation.
