I hope everyone had a great extra long weekend!

The word family taught today was the -eat family. We brainstormed words such as seat, heat, meat, defeat, treat, repeat, etc.. Please practice these words with your child this week.

Grade 1 students: want, name

Grade 2 students: next, never, heard

We had a wonderful first week with our fantastic teacher candidates Mr. Hallett and Miss Waters.

Our Library book exchange day is usually on Mondays but since we've missed the last two Mondays of school, I have signed us up for a quick book exchange tomorrow. We will still have our regular Library time on Monday, April 23rd.

Don't forget to do your home reading every night. It is encouraged to take the same book home several nights in a row to practice fluency, especially at the higher levels. Please also ensure that your child brings his/her home reading book back to school everyday.

Please practice basic math facts on a regular basis.
