The word family taught today was the -ay family. We brainstormed words such as hay, stay, display, yesterday, today, etc.. Please practice these words with your child this week.

Sight words this week:

Grade 1 students: up, down, in, out

Grade 2 students: pretty, white, together.

A Senor Froggy order form went home today. The orders are due back on Friday, April 13 by noon. Senor Froggy lunch will be on Friday, April 27th.

Just a reminder that next Monday (April 16th) is a professional development day for teachers and it is a non-instructional day for students.

Don't forget to do your home reading every night. It is encouraged to take the same book home several nights in a row to practice fluency, especially at the higher levels. Please also ensure that your child brings his/her home reading book back to school everyday.

Please practice basic math facts on a regular basis.
