Happy Monday Everyone! Today we had our last skating day for the year. The children had a great time and it was awesome to see so much improvement on the ice. Thank you to all of the parents who drove and helped out in the dressing rooms and on the ice. Your support is always appreciated and recognized.

The word family taught today was the -ing family. We brainstormed words such as sing, king, ring, string, fling, something, everything, kingdom, etc.. Please practice these words with your child this week.

Grade 2's are reviewing all sight words taught to date this week. A list will be going home this week. Please practice these words with your child at home.

On Wednesday February 8th our class, along with Mrs. Sandhu's class, will be hosting an open house for parents to attend. The open house will begin at 9:00 am in the classroom. Students will be showcasing some of their work to date. We will head to the gym at 9:30 to perform some of the dances we learned in gym this year. Parents will be participating too!!!

Don't forget to do your home reading every night. It is encouraged to take the same book home several nights in a row to practice fluency, especially at the higher levels. Please also ensure that your child brings his/her home reading book back to school everyday.

Please practice basic math facts on a regular basis.

Tomorrow is PE so please make sure your child has proper indoor footwear.
